Das Ende der Sommerferien markierte traditionsgemäß wieder das das 2. Abendsportfest im Oldenburger Marschwegstadion. Für die TSG Athleten waren Corinna Petznik, Heiner Lüers, Andreas Willms, Martin Krisch und als Neu-TSGer Sebastian Menzel mit dabei.
Zum Einstieg konnte Andreas Willms seine gute Form über 100 Meter bestätigen, als er bei leichtem Gegenwind mit 12,80 Sekunden die zweitbeste Zeit der Saison aufstellte und zweiter der M30 wurde. Nur knapp dahinter kam Heiner Lüers ins Ziel: in 13,09 Sekunden gewann er seine Altersklasse M55 mit deutlichem Vorsprung.
Beim 400 Meter Lauf lieferten sich beide TSG Athleten ebenfalls ein spannendes Duell in ihrem Zeitlauf, den Heiner mit starken 58,99 Sekunden gewann. Andreas wurde mit persönlicher Bestleistung in 59,88 Sekunden Zweiter, diese beiden Platzierungen standen auch am Ende in der M30 Wertung.
Corinna Petznik musste über 100 Meter erneut einen Dämpfer hinnehmen, bei mittlerem Gegenwind reichte es dieses Mal leider nur zu 14,18 Sekunden. Sie kann zwar deutlich schneller sprinten, aber am Ende stand immerhin noch Platz 5 bei den Frauen zu Buche.
Den Abschluss des Tages bildete der 5000 Meter Lauf, hier starteten Sebastian Menzel und Martin Krisch für die TSG. Sebastian erwischte einen sehr guten Tag und knackte mit 18:44,60 Minuten seine Bestzeit und wurde insgesamt 10. der Männerhauptklasse. Martin Krisch griff nach längerer Pause das erste Mal wieder über 5000 Meter ins Wettkampfgeschehen ein und kam nach guten 19:54,50 Minuten als 17. ins Ziel.
