Lange Wochen des Wahlkampfs für die Ammerländer Sportlerwahl näherten sich diese Woche ihrem Ende.
Nach letzten Aufrufen über das Internet und in Freundeskreisen stieg die Spannung bis diesen Donnerstagabend immer weiter an. Ist es uns gelungen für Josina Papenfuß genügend Stimmen zu werben? Sollte es uns Leichtathleten tatsächlich gelingen zum zweiten Jahr in Folge einen Sportler/in des Jahres zu stellen? Die Chance war klein aber sie war da!
Mit ihrem Vater und ihrem Trainer Martin Krisch ging es nach Godensholt, wo in einem Festakt mit Vertretern aller sechs ammerländer Gemeinden und der NWZ die Bekanntgabe der Ergebnisse stattfinden sollte. Nach ersten Grußworten folgte zuerst die Verkündung des Gewinners bei den Sportlern. Hier hatte mit dem Basketballer Milos Stankovic bereits ein Sportler der TSG Westerstede die Nase vorn.
Anschließend wurden die sechs nominierten Sportlerinnen nach vorne gebeten, es wurde ernst für Josina. Platzierung um Platzierung wurde verkündet, je näher wir dem Finale kamen, desto spannender wurde es, weil ihr Name immer noch nicht gefallen war.
Schließlich kam es zum Showdown zwischen Carina Stöhr aus Torsholt und Josina, die Spannung war nun beiden anzusehen. Doch einen Moment später wich sie ungläubigem Staunen: Josina hatte mit Abstand gewonnen! Über 550 Stimmen Vorsprung bedeuteten einen deutlichen Sieg für unsere junge Athletin.
Damit stellen wir nach Malte Prietz zum zweiten Mal in Folge einen Sportler bzw. Sportlerin des Jahres und freuen uns über die Anerkennung und die vielen Stimmen, die wir im Ammerland gewinnen konnten!
